About Do Dham Yatra

Kedarnath

Kedarnath, a sacred place, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed to have historical links to the Mahabharata, where Lord Shiva took refuge as a bull at this very spot in an attempt to escape the Pandavas. Today, the temple stands surrounded by magnificent snow-capped peaks and serves as a testament to the unwavering faith of devotees who undertake arduous journeys to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, often referred to as the 'destroyer of evil'.

Badrinath

In contrast, Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Badrinarayan form. The legend associated with Badrinath revolves around Lord Vishnu's meditation in this area, where he underwent severe hardships to rid mankind of its sins. The temple at Badrinath is notable for its vibrant appearance with a striking golden spire. It serves as a symbol of hope and salvation for many pilgrims who journey to it. The annual Badrinath Yatra revives the region's rich cultural traditions and highlights the place's enduring cultural and religious significance.
